Jordan Worsted Mills Co., PLC (JOWM) was established in 1964 as the first textile producer in Jordan. Throughout its operation, JOWM produced textiles for the Jordanian Armed Forces, the British Military, and local clothing factories. The company also had a trading and investment arm that was active on the Amman Stock Exchange, focusing mainly on holding strategic shares in blue-chip companies.
El-Zay Ready Wear Manufacturing Co., PLC (El Zay) was established by the group as the first factory in Jordan to locally manufacture suits to international standards. El-Zay produces garments for the local market under its own brand, ZAY, and for international clients such as Calvin Klein, Hartmarx, DKNY, Armani, and others. The factory produces over 2 million clothing items each year and is expanding its presence in the USA, Europe, and the Gulf region.
